Meet the creative team who will lead the Missy Elliott Project in Dublin

Dublin Dance Festival is thrilled to announce the creative team for the Missy Elliott Project in Dublin.

Dublin Dance Festival is thrilled to announce the creative team for the MISSY ELLIOT PROJECT in Dublin. FeliSpeaks (aka Felicia Olusanya) is a young Nigerian-Irish spoken word performance artist and writer who is fast becoming one of the most exciting and in demand poets in Ireland, her mind set on changing the face of the art form in Ireland.

Fehdah is a future-afro soul vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist, on the frontline of an emerging Irish hiphop and electronic music scene. An eclectic songwriter who draws on her love of Wassoulou music in forging an entirely new take on electro-soul.

With extensive experience in creative direction and art direction across music, dance, theatre, film Thaís Muniz is a Brazilian artist, designer and producer who has worked in several cultural sectors between Brazil and Europe. Her most outstanding project is the Turbante-se platform and brand, where in the last 7 years, Thaís has experienced innumerable nuances of her research on the history, meanings and resignifications of the turbans and head wraps in Afro-Diaspora through art, ancestry and politics.

These artists will join Emmy Lahouel and award-winning artist Selina Thompson, who created the project, to lead young women of colour in a live performance and digital exchange project. The participants will create their own VR experience with all the energy and excitement of an old-school Missy Elliott video, while meeting new friends and imagining an exciting and limitless world.
